Louise leads the units dedicated to removing barriers to and enhancing success of students: Career Connection, Commuter Affairs, Counseling and Consultation Service, Student Wellness Center, Student Health Services, Student Advocacy Center, Student Conduct, and Disability Services. She also directs the Younkin Success Center, a collaboration of the offices of Academic Affairs, Student Life, Athletics and the College of Education and Human Ecology. She holds a B.S. in psychology from Ohio State and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota. She has more than 30 years of experience in college mental health care at Ohio State and is a national expert in the field.

Connie leads Ohio State's student wellness efforts, which provide educational programs and services to individuals and groups. She holds a B.S. in social work from Manchester College and an M.A. in college student personnel administration from Ball State University. She has worked for more than 25 years in residence life and wellness, and she joined Ohio State in Student Life in 1996.

Lois and her staff coordinate academic adjustments and accommodations for students with various documented disabilities, including learning disabilities, deaf/hard of hearing, blind/low vision, mobility limitations, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), psychiatric conditions, and medical disabilities. Lois has a B.S. in education from Elizabeth City State University and a master's degree in special education from Ohio State. She has worked with Disability Services at Ohio State since 1985.

Dr. Jacobs provides administrative leadership for Student Health Services and the Wilce Student Health Center. He also maintains a limited clinical practice at Wilce, with special interests in men's health, wound care, ADHD, and anxiety. Dr. Jacobs received the Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the M.D. from Duke University. He is Board certified in emergency medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He joined Ohio State in 2009, having spent the previous six years at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY.

Karen leads the team that assists students in resolving problems and removing barriers to academic success. Karen and her staff also coordinate the University's crisis response in the event of a student death, serious injury, or personal trauma. She earned a B.A. in interpersonal and public communication and a master's degree in higher education administration from Bowling Green State University. She has worked for Ohio State and Student Life since 1996. She has also worked for other universities in student activities, international student services, and residence life.

Sean oversees programs, services and collaborative efforts to enhance the success and collegiate experience of commuter students at The Ohio State University. He earned a B.S.Ed. in Secondary Education, General Science from Duquesne University, an M.A. in Higher Education Student Affairs from The Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. Sean began working for Student Life in 2002 as the assistant director of Off-Campus Student Services. Prior to coming to Ohio State he served as evening administrator of the Duquesne Union at Duquesne University and as a middle school science teacher in Prince George's County Public Schools in Maryland.

Chris oversees and administers Career Connection, which promotes academic, personal, and occupational success by assisting students in career decision-making and career development. She also provides counseling and clinical supervision and training at the Counseling and Consultation Service. She holds a B.A. in psychology and a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Michigan State University. She has been in Student Life at Ohio State since 1985. Prior to that, she worked at Ohio Wesleyan University in the Counseling, Advising and Placement Center and taught in the Psychology Department.

Micky M. Sharma, Psy.D.

Micky is responsible for vision, leadership, and administrative direction for Counseling and Consultation Services, which has 22 mental health staff members and 20-25 multidisciplinary mental health interns, fellows, and advanced graduate practicum students, who provide a full range of mental health and substance abuse services to Ohio State students. He joined the Student Life team in September 2011, bringing experience from his previous positions as executive director of the Counseling and Student Development Center at Northern Illinois University (2007-2011) and associate director of Counseling and Wellness Services at Wright State University (2000-2007). Micky received his B.S in psychology from the University of Dayton, and his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Chicago Campus.
